Contributing to improving the environmental and socioeconomic situation of Al Hoceima National Park.
Al Hoceima National Park (PNAH) in northern Morocco is the largest protected area on the country’s Mediterranean coast and its only national park along the Mediterranean facade. As well as contributing to biodiversity, it plays an important socioeconomic role for the local Rif population.
In that context, the association is committed to supporting women from the Nissae Bades cooperative, which uses cord grass for arts and crafts. It works with the cooperative on two aspects of conservation and sustainable development. Firstly, it targets improved management of the cord grass by creating a plot for its long-term growth by the cooperative. Secondly, training and workshops will strengthen the cooperative’s structure and better promote local products.
